And this news coincide with most recent iPhone 5 rumors that it will be released in mid-October. And considering that we’re already in September and we don’t have a press event on the books yet, October availability is looking more likely by the day.

According to the same source, Best Buy Mobile managers have a meeting scheduled for October 10th to “discuss upcoming BIG release dates” (emphasis his). Assuming we get an Apple press event for the new iPhone a few weeks in advance, the managers would be well aware of the release date in time to discuss it at that meeting, so that’d support a release on or around the 21st, too.

Also Boy Genius Report’s Jonathan Geller says that they have got a leaked Best Buy document labeled “Promotional activity” with a subheading of “Week 9/4.” The document says, “iPhone 5 product introduction expected, pre-sales begin for expected week 1 launch / Sprint launches iPhone 5.” It also says “(Apple product information/Launch dates subject to change).”

The iPhone 4 has a glass plate on the front screen as well as on the phone’s back end, gnviig it it’s shiny appearance. What I can tell you from experience is that the glass is most definitely stronger. I keep my iPhone 4 in a case (as should you), but I have dropped it on occasion with and without the case. I have yet to drop it on an extremely hard surface like a parking lot or hardwood floor, just mainly at work or at my apartment where it’s carpeted. It has yet to even crack. I’ve had it about six months. It’s a beautiful phone.
