iOS 7 kills battery life faster than iOS 6, and how to fix it

Do you find that iOS 7 is more power hungry than iOS 6 was? No need to worry! We’ve got some tips to help you out.

1. Disable the parallax effect

iOS 7’s parallax effect gives the home and lock screen a 3D look and feel. While the feature may be good-looking and fun to play with, it uses up battery, just like every other feature on your device.

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion.

2. Turn off the background app refresh

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

3. Turn off AirDrop

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and selecting the toggle in the Control Center.
