Parallels Access for iPad Brings Mac and PC to iPad

August 31st, 2013    Posted in Industry News

iPad, as the most popular tablet in the world, fails to do everything a PC or Mac can because plenty of apps work only on PC or Mac. With more and more people using iPads on-the-go, remotely accessing a computer from an iPad has long been practiced, but they tend to be difficult to use. Those programs present a traditional desktop to the user; they deliver a lot of control, but they’re unwieldy on touch-only devices. Parallel’s launch of Parallels Access for iPad on August, 27th, 2013 gives customers an entrance to enjoy native iPad gestures even in applications not optimized for iPad. It isn’t the only iPad app that can remotely control computers, but it does the best job of treating the computer programs it accesses as if they were iPad apps, without sacrificing functionality.

After the long waiting, we do not receive the so-called iPad 3 or iPad HD. However, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook still revealed the “new iPad” at an event in San Francisco today. This new iPad still brings us some exciting new improvements.

Retina Display

As predicted, the new iPad features a stunning retina display – as on the iPhone 4 and 4S you can’t distinguish individual pixels and the resolution is a stunning 2048 x 1536 pixels. As expected, it’s the same 9.7-inch size.

Apple iPad 3 Will Come in Early March

February 11th, 2012    Posted in Apple News, Company News, Industry News

According to the report of AllThingsD, Apple will hold an event to launch the iPad 3 in the first week of March.

Sources say the company has chosen the first week in March to debut the successor to the iPad 2, and will do so at one of its trademark special events. The event will be held in San Francisco, presumably at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple’s preferred location for big announcements like these. No word yet on a street date for the iPad 3 (assuming that’s what it’s called), though my guess is retail availability will follow roughly the same schedule as that of the iPad 2: Available for purchase a week or so after the event.

Last year, Apple introduced the iPad 2 with a media event on March 2, following that up with the first round of launches on March 11.

Japanese blog brings us a photo, which shows a 9.7-inch LCD panel. It is said that this panel is said to be a 2048×1536 high-resolution display set for inclusion in the iPad 3 made by Sharp. The panel shows three ribbon cables connecting the display to its circuit board, in line with a previously-leaked photo of a claimed iPad 3 panel. The iPad 2 panel only utilizes two ribbon cables, with the additional cable on the new panel thought to be required to support its higher resolution.

iPad 2 vs. iPad 1

March 7th, 2011    Posted in Apple News, Industry News, ipod software

Now iPad 2 has released on March 2. Maybe you are wondering what you would get if you trade in my old iPad for the iPad 2. Now I will show you what the difference between the iPad 1 and iPad 2.

First, let’s see a bunch of things that essentially haven’t changed at all between iPad 1 and iPad 2. The display is exactly the same as before, as is the resolution: 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. The next thing that’s exactly the same is the storage options, 16, 32, and 64GB being your options. Your Wi-Fi will still be 802.11 a/b/g/n, your Bluetooth will still be 2.1 + EDR, accelerometer stays the same at 3-axis. The iPad 2 has 10 hour Battery life, which is the same as iPad 1. Also the cost for iPad 2 is the same as iPad 1. Better product for the same amount of money.

Moreover, the new iPad 2 brings us many exciting new features. The iPad 1 was released only with the black version. And you’ll be able to get your iPad 2 in both black and white. And the iPad 2 processor has been improved from a 1GHz Apple A4 to a 1GHz dual-core Apple A5.

The iPad 2 is much lighter and thinner than iPad 1. Your iPad 1 was either 680g or 730g depending on if you wanted 3G or not. The heaviest new iPad is 613g, and that’s the AT&T model. Next lightest is 607g with Verizon, and 601g with just Wi-Fi. Also the thickness of the entire unit has been reduced 33% from 13.4mm down to 8.8mm.

The iPad 2 features a gyroscope where iPad 1 did not include one. Also the iPad 2 owns two cameras – one on the front and one on the back. We do not know about the capabilities of these cameras quite yet, but the front camera is a VGA webcam and the back is capable of recording video at 720p. Users can have a FaceTime video calling with friends.

iPad 2 runs the latest iOS 4.3, which is added with some new items tol make your experience on this new tablet a completely re-vamped one.

Apple introduces a new cover system that works with magnets and automatically turns off and on the device when its screen is blocked.

Together with iPad 2, Apple introduced the HDMI adapter for the iPad 2. It allows you to pump full 1080p images to your TV. Although this HDMI adapter is also compatible with the iPad 1, only the iPad 2 supports 1080p mirroring for apps. The iPad 1 will only support 720p mirroring.

iPad 2 vs. iPad 1

To tell the truth, there are not so many great improvements brought by iPad 2. However, the iPad 2, equipped with the dual-core A5, can bring users with more outstanding experience while surfing, watching videos, playing games, etc.

Top Ten Reasons iPad is better than Notebook

November 26th, 2010    Posted in Industry News, Tips & Guide

According to the report of US media, leading IT magazine “eWeek” recently published an article, it is said that Apple’s iPad Tablet Personal Computer will be a tremendous shock to the notebook market, and it also listed the top 10 reasons about this.

1.    Mobile factors
In the beginning, notebook could achieve a great success mainly because users could bring it to anywhere they want to go. But some laptops are too heavy, so it is not so convenient for users to move it freely. While iPad is not like this, it is much thinner and smaller than any laptop computers. So it has more advantage than laptop in mobility. Which is also laptop can never match.
2.    The price
Nowadays, price of laptop is also very cheap, but it needs to cost users at least $499, so most of the users think that Apple iPad are more attractive. From the price point of view, 499 U.S. dollars is enough for consumers to own a high-end iPad product with large storage and。However, a 500 U.S. dollars laptops may only include some basic functions, and the storage is much smaller. As consumers do not like second-class product, if they chose between notebook and iPad based on the same price, you certainly will choose iPad product.
3.    The charm of apple product
During the last ten years, Apple products can always provide user with unusual experience which is other equipment on the market can’t do. Therefore, Apple’s brand and logo is enough to enable consumers to choose iPad, rather than the laptop.
4.    It is excellent than MacBook.
Why it would weaken the sales of Macbook? The reason is that Macbook is only a Interim Productions, it does not have the mobility like iPad and the power like Macbook Pro. So once consumers recognize these weaknesses, they will select MacBook Pro or iPad products, but not MacBook.
5.    Apple’s App Store
Apple’s application store offers consumers a wide variety of applications, it is up to 250,000. Consumers in the store can also upgrade their Apple Tablet PC, In addition, in the store some expensive applications can also be downloaded for free or pay only a small fee. By contrast, some applications of notebooks are sometimes very expensive, though those applications may be more powerful. However, if users only need some basic and easy-to-use function, then Apple’s application store will give users a better experience.
6.    Similar to an iPhone without charge
While Apple provides users with a 3G version iPad, this product requires users to pay only 15 dollars or 30 dollars per month, so most users think that iPad just like an iPhone without charge.
7.    More “cool” equipment
iPad has been widely considered as a “cool” device, which is also one of the reason which  make people feel it is worth buying one. Many consumers also indicated that they like to show in public with some cool and popular devices in high technology. iPad just provides them with this proud feeling, but laptops cannot give them this cool experience.
8.    Multimedia
Of course notebooks can provide a more dynamic multimedia experience, because its browser supports Flash, but this function of laptops was retracted by environment. But to consumer, they need such a device with high mobility, and iPad is just like a computing they can move it freely. What’s more, it also has some fun features, while the main use of laptops is for work, so, iPad would be more attractive.
9.    Most users are already hold a notebook
As some people are short of money but want to buy a new laptop would pay more attention to iPad. Because they can use the old computer they already have to do some work, and also they can enjoy some other funny functions that iPad offered to them. In addition, price of iPad is also cheaper than a laptop, therefore, users would select a iPad to replace the laptop.
10.    Laptop makes you boring
As long as the iPad was compared with notebook, users will found that notebooks make you feel boring. They are heavy with a physical keyboard and seem outdated. But iPad can meet users’ needs, they are light and have soft keyboard.
