This morning, Apple has sent out invitations of the media event on March 2. The media press will be held in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and will start at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
The image of the invitation is themed by iOS’s Calendar app and iPad. And it carries the phrase “Come see what 2011 will be the year of.”
Apple is expected to unveil the second-generation iPad at the event. According to the leaked information, the iPad 2 will feature a 9.7 inch IPS screen, a front-facing camera for FaceTime video calling, a larger speaker, and a thinner design, etc. Also Apple will introduce the iOS 4.3.

The new iPad 2 will be featured with 3g communication function. So this iPad 2 would be offered by both Verizon and AT&T. while the first iPad is only available at AT&T.
