WSJ: iPad 2 Is in Production

According to the report of The Wall Street Journal, Apple is already producing the iPad 2, and that the new device will be thinner and lighter.

The new iPad 2 will feature a front-facing camera, and would be powered by a faster processor (dual core Cortex-A9), have more memory (512M 1066MHz), and a better graphics processor (SGX543).

The Wall Street Journal specified that the device would feature the same, or a “similar” resolution to the current model, which is 1024 x 768. Taiwan newspaper DigiTimes reported in January that the next iPad version would boast a far higher resolution of 2046 x 1536.

The new iPad 2 will be featured with 3g communication function. So this iPad 2 would be offered by both Verizon and AT&T. while the first iPad is only available at AT&T.
