With Apple expected to launch new hardware next month, the rumor frenzy is building. Apple’s newly revamped iPhone lineup is expected to include the high-end “iPhone 5S,” a plastic “iPhone 5C,” and a low-end option with the legacy iPhone 4S. According to Japan’s Nikkei, both new iPhone models will hit store shelves on the 20th next month at SoftBank and KDDI.
According to various reports, the iPhone 5S will have a fingerprint sensor in the circular home button. The hardware feature would be a way to “authenticate” you and offer another way of securing your phone. It would also likely offer an alternative to entering a PIN or password. The iPhone 5S is also expected to feature a higher-end processor as well as higher-megapixel camera modules, and will have an a better flash for taking better photos in low-light conditions. According to a source who has used the device, the iPhone 5S will come in a “gold” color option. This gold model has a white front-face, so it won’t be a black and gold device, but rather a white and “gold/champagne” phone. It looks elegant, not cheap, the source said.
The cheaper plastic-bodied iPhone 5C will be powered with the A5 processor and around 64mm in width, 120mm in height and 9mm thickness. The screen size of this phone will be 4″ Retina display just like an iPhone 5 style. 8 megapixel camera will be embedded in this Phone. And it will be available in 5 or more colors which consists blue, red, yellow, navy, gold orange, pink, green and yellow orange.
